Chapter Fifteen

Ms. Baxter turned slowly and majestically toward Billy and gave a regal nod. Billy smiled. She had received the signal. She knew what was expected and began.

"O.K. Ted, you know what you are supposed to do," she said in her matter of fact way. "Get to it." She then addressed the entire group and me in a sort of made up sounding speech. "Members, guests, and especially our most honored guest Ms. Baxter, now that we have all had some fun, we are about to engage in the second to final step in the initiation process of our newest member. Lani here knows the rules. Once we begin a punishment, Lani can't stop us from doing what we are about to do, and still be allowed in. But if we find her lacking in her acceptance of her punishment we can stop her from joining our group at any time. Once initiated she is a member for life and under my charge forever. Lani do you understand this?"

"Oh, yes Billy," I replied softly.

"Are you ready to begin?"

"Yes, but what is to be my punishment tonight? I wish to know, if I may, what to expect," I asked meekly. "The others did."

"What difference does it make to you?" she shot back. "What will happen will happen. Besides the rest of us were playing. You are being initiated. It's different."

"Oh yes, I know. I only wish to please and show your guests how well you have trained me and how devoted to you and the club I have become." I was having fun playing the part.

"Yeah, so?"

"Well, if I know, I can prepare myself for all that awaits and do my best."

"You're up to something Lani, and I'm not sure what, but you have been superb so far without knowing. But O.K. Baby, I'll tell you. Tonight you will receive a series of electrical shocks that will cause you to dance as you hang here suspended. Each of us will roll dice and the winner of each round can administer the shock to you. Each time the intensity and duration will be increased until we reach a maximum safe level. With each shock every muscle in your body will tense. It will be awful for you, but it will be wonderful and exciting for us to watch."

"I see," was my meek response. Then something in the back of my mind kicked in and I said in a rather strong voice, "Is that all?"

"Lani, you don't understand, this will be absolutely terrible for you. You'll feel like you have been beaten all over, but no marks. It's fiendishly cruel."

"Billy, I understand it will be terrible, but I wish to prove myself to you and your guests. You and Jen showed what we girls can take. So please, whip me with that nasty cane she got hers with, and let me take the full fourteen that Jen nearly took. I need to show you, Ted and the others how well we girls can take your most vicious lashings.
